An AI assistant for the work between systems
Revenue operations and operations teams often need an answer assembled from several places: a pipeline sheet, the last customer email, a delivery brief, or a project issue. The useful handoff is specific: explain what needs attention, show the source, and prepare something the team can review.
Ask Geniusly from Slack using authorized connections to Google Sheets, Gmail, Google Drive, Linear, GitHub, or Slack. Connect only the sources the task needs. Start with a named document, tab, conversation, or project and a clear reporting period.
These workflows prepare work for review. They do not update CRM records, repair spreadsheet cells, or change project issues automatically. If your revenue data lives in a CRM that Geniusly does not support, put the relevant export in a connected Google Sheet and identify the export date.
1. Prepare a pipeline review brief
Start with: A Google Sheet containing the opportunity rows you want reviewed. Include your stage definitions, date of export, and the period the review covers.
Ask for: A brief of missing next steps, opportunities past an expected close date, and deals needing an owner decision. Ask Geniusly to cite the source rows and separate recorded facts from questions for the team. If you want a week-over-week comparison, provide both dated snapshots; a single export cannot establish what changed.
Review the Opportunities tab in the October 15 pipeline export. Use the stage definitions in the notes tab. List open deals with a past close date or no recorded next step, and cite their rows. Prepare five questions for our pipeline meeting. Flag missing data; do not infer win probabilities.
Illustrative request. Use your actual sheet, review date, and stage definitions.
Review before using: Confirm the export is current, distinguish missing data from an actual deal problem, and check any totals against the sheet. This is preparation for a pipeline discussion, not an independently verified revenue forecast.
2. Find spreadsheet data issues before reporting
Start with: A bounded range of account or opportunity data in Google Sheets and the rules your team uses to validate it. Name the required fields and the identifier that makes a row unique.
Ask for: An exception list with row references, the rule involved, and a suggested question for the data owner. Useful checks include blank owners, missing next-step dates, inconsistent stage labels, and potential duplicates under a rule you specify.
Check rows 2–100 of the Accounts tab. Flag blank account owners, stages outside our approved list, and rows sharing the same account ID. Return the row numbers and the reason for each flag. Treat duplicate IDs as review candidates, not instructions to merge or delete.
Illustrative request. Provide your approved stage list with the task.
Review before using: Some apparent duplicates are legitimate. Confirm the business rule and give the exception list to the responsible owner. Geniusly prepares the check; it does not clean the sheet or merge records for you.
3. Turn sales context into a delivery handoff
Start with: The relevant Gmail conversation, the agreed scope in Google Drive, and any delivery notes. Use a private Geniusly DM when the source includes customer or commercial information.
Ask for: A handoff brief covering the customer's objective, agreed deliverables, commitments, dependencies, and unanswered questions. Keep named owners and confirmed dates separate from proposed assignments.
Use the Acme agreement in Drive and its onboarding email thread. Prepare a delivery handoff with agreed scope, customer inputs, stated deadlines, and open questions. Cite sources. Label suggested owners as proposals and flag any conflict between the email and agreement.
Illustrative example, not a live customer handoff.
Review before using: Verify scope and commitments with the account owner before sharing. If you need a customer reply, use the client follow-up workflow to prepare text you can review. Do not turn an inferred commitment into an agreed deadline.
4. Turn an SOP into an execution checklist
Start with: The current standard operating procedure in Google Drive, the situation it applies to, and any approved exceptions.
Ask for: A checklist that preserves the source procedure's order, required approvals, inputs, and completion criteria. Have Geniusly mark missing instructions rather than filling them in as policy.
Turn the current customer onboarding SOP into a checklist for a new account. Include each required input, approval, and completion criterion. Cite the relevant sections. Mark missing owners as unassigned and keep optional improvements separate from required steps.
Illustrative request. Select the approved version of your SOP.
Review before using: Ask the process owner to confirm the checklist. The output helps someone execute the process; it does not grant access, complete onboarding actions, or replace the approved procedure.
5. Prepare a weekly operations update
Start with: Named Linear projects or GitHub issues, the team's status sheet, and the reporting window. Use only the sources relevant to the audience receiving the update.
Ask for: A concise update with progress, blockers, decisions needed, and next steps. Include source links and distinguish an assigned owner from a suggested owner. To describe changes since last week, supply the earlier status or snapshot too.
Prepare this week's operations update from the Onboarding project in Linear and the current status sheet. Group it into progress, blockers, decisions needed, and next steps. Link to the source items, flag conflicting statuses, and keep proposed dates separate from confirmed dates.
Illustrative request. Specify the exact reporting window in your own task.
Review before using: Resolve conflicting statuses and confirm the audience before sharing the update. This example prepares the brief on request; it does not establish a recurring schedule or automatically post to a team channel.
Start with one operations workflow
- Add Geniusly to Slack. Sign up below and choose the workspace where your team works. Installation may require approval from your Slack administrator.
- Connect the source in a private DM. Ask to connect the supported app you need. Gmail and Drive are separate connections; authorizing one does not authorize the other.
- Make one bounded request. Specify the document, sheet range, or project, the time period, the output format, and the rules to apply.
- Check the result against the source. Review references, calculations, ownership, and commitments before using the output. Judge the workflow by the correction and preparation effort it saves.
Start with the Gmail connection guide, browse supported tools, or read how an AI assistant works in Slack. After linking your workspace, WhatsApp and text can handle short requests; files and action approvals stay in Slack.
Questions & answers
What can AI help a RevOps team do in Slack?
Geniusly can help prepare pipeline review briefs, identify data exceptions in a specified sheet, assemble sales handoffs, and summarize operations updates from authorized sources. Give it explicit definitions and review the result against the source.
Does Geniusly connect directly to Salesforce or HubSpot?
Salesforce and HubSpot are not in the supported connection list on this site. For these examples, place the relevant CRM export in a connected Google Sheet and state its export date. Do not assume the export stays synchronized with your CRM.
Will Geniusly update CRM records or fix spreadsheet cells?
No. These workflows read authorized context and prepare results for review. CRM updates, spreadsheet edits, record merges, and issue changes are not performed by these workflows.
Can it calculate our forecast from a pipeline sheet?
You can ask it to analyze supplied data using explicit definitions, but you must verify calculations, filters, and source freshness. A prepared analysis is not an independently verified forecast. Supply dated snapshots when comparing periods.
Is this useful for business operations as well as revenue operations?
Yes. SOP checklists, project handoffs, data exception lists, and weekly updates also fit business operations. Start with a task whose sources, required output, and review owner are clear.
